The EV bloodbath is going global now, and that means the coming months and years will become a very dangerous time for the survival of the concept of freedom in the Western world.
Volkswagen joined the parade of prominent automakers reporting dramatic drops in sales of battery electric vehicles (EVs) this week, a trend that started with Tesla’s announcement the previous week that its Q1 2024 US sales had plummeted by 20% from Q4 2023. Volkswagen said in a release that its EV sales in Europe fell by 24% in Q1 even as sales of its gas-and-diesel fleet rose significantly.
Overall, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reported the market share of EV car sales declined during March, with EV registrations rising by 3.8% compared to 9.4% for internal combustion cars. In early March, the UK government reported that EV sales there had dropped by a whopping 17% during the first two months of 2024 as compared to the same period a year earlier.
