We have long known that a forced march to authoritarian governance is a feature, not a glitch, of the global alarmist scheme to control the public in the name of fighting ‘climate change.’ I’ve written about it here for many years now: This is at its heart a religious movement that believes everyone must be forced to conform their lives to its dogma in order to be saved.
‘Saved’ from what, we’re not quite sure, but anyone who questions this forced march to living smaller lives in 15-minute cities where we eat ze bugs and own nothing is labeled a heretic and ordered to shut up, so only those who stupidly cling to quaint notions like the freedom of speech, like me, dare to keep asking. It’s a fairly thankless task, but somebody has to keep standing astride this march of history shouting ‘stop’ for the sake of future generations.
Until recently - really just the last two years or so - the adherents to this global church of climate alarm have been fairly timid about stating their real goals out loud. They have preferred to hide behind flowery, vaguely worded narratives assuring a sheeplike public that all its miracle solutions are cheap and abundant and will require no change in lifestyle, just you wait and see.
The trouble is, now we’re several years into this brave new heavily-subsidized world, and the public can clearly see nothing is really working out the way the narratives had claimed. Gas prices are 50% higher than 3 years ago, utility bills are skyrocketing, and the cost of literally everything is flying upwards in large part a result of this steadily rising cost of energy.
It turns out those heretics were right. Who could have guessed?
