The Energy Absurdity of the Week: Get Ready for a Federal Bailout of Offshore Wind Companies

Everyone should prepare themselves to see an effort in Washington, DC to allocate billions more dollars to bail out Big Offshore Wind developers soon. It turns out the billions already offered by various state governments in the Northeast and in the Orwellian-named Inflation Reduction Act just aren’t enough largesse to sustain these hogs feeding at the government trough. So, they have recently been pressuring friendly politicians to dump another bag of debt-funded printed dollars into the bin.

Nick Pope has a great piece at the Daily Caller today, headlined ‘On Life Support’: A Bailout For Offshore Wind May Be Right Around The Corner, Experts Say.

The headline is self-descriptive of the story’s content: We should all steel ourselves for an effort by the Biden administration and congressional Democrat, along with GOP members who are in the pockets of the Big Wind companies, to mount an effort to bail out huge foreign corporations like Siemens and Orsted whose deadly, environmentally destructive, and completely unneeded offshore wind projects are failing financially.
