The Energy Absurdity of the Week: Nicky Hilton Rothschild is the Perfect New Poster Woman for the Climate Cult

We don’t hear all that much from little Greta Thunberg these days. Which is really not surprising: It was inevitable that her appeal to the ignorant masses would wear off apace with her loss of seeming teenage innocence.

Little Greta emerged on the scene as a 16 year-old in 2019, having supposedly managed to cross the Atlantic Ocean unaccompanied on a smallish sailboat in an heroic trek to evil America to highlight something or other about climate change. Not sure what, exactly it was, all these years later. Of course, she didn’t do any of that alone - she had tons of help from dozens of adults in her preparations and was accompanied by support ships all the way across the ocean, her life or safety never in any real jeopardy.

But the truth didn’t really matter, did it? After all, she was this cute little 16-year-old high school dropout who had come to America to give dirty looks to Donald Trump and scold Americans about the wretched excess of the lives we live. That’ll show ‘em!

Little Greta is [checks notes] 21 years old now, and her teen years have rapidly faded into young adulthood, rendering her constant scolds and “how dare you” taunts more annoying than cute. Worse, she even recently took some time off to belatedly graduate from high school, which her handlers and abusive parents no doubt considered a huge waste of time.

So, we don’t hear a lot about her anymore. We aren’t even certain she was in Davos for this year’s WEF conference, where she was hailed as a conquering heroine just a few years ago. This is just how it goes in life.

The Global Church of Climate Alarmism has basically lost its poster child now. A vacuum has been created by her absence and is screaming to be filled.

Enter Nicky Hilton Rothschild, sister of noted infamous dimwit Paris Hilton, great-granddaughter of famous hotelier Conrad Hilton, and wife of James Rothschild, a grandson of Victor Rothschild, 3rd Baron Rothschild, whom she married in 2015.

Nicky is just the perfect new face for the climate cult, is she not? I say that because, over the past half-decade, as the luster of youth has worn away from the dour face of Little Greta, the climate alarm movement itself has discarded the happy face of idealism it once wore to mask its real agenda.

In its place, we now have an increasingly emboldened collection of Malthusians who are only too happy to loudly tout their real goals. Those goals have nothing at all to do with protecting the climate and everything to do with population reduction, mass impoverishment, elimination of human rights, and executing the most enormous transfer of wealth in all of human history.
