Efforts by most Republicans in the House and Senate to Inflation Reduction Act subsidies have gotten a lot of media attention in recent days as the One Big Beautiful Bill makes its way through the Byzantine legislative process. While most of the attention has focused on subsidies related to the incessantly rent-seeking wind and solar industries, similar efforts to revoke subsidies and tax breaks for electric vehicles have received far less notice.

But make no mistake about: The OBBB would revoke every new EV-related incentive the IRA put into law.
