CARS Act passes the House
On Wednesday, the House passed the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act, H.R. 4468 by a vote of 221 to 197. All Republicans voted in favor of the bill along with 5 Democrats—Republicans, Cuellar (TX), Davis (NC), Golden (ME), Gonzalez (TX), and Peltola (AK). This bill prevents EPA from finalizing its proposed rule on vehicle greenhouse gas emissions standards (the rule would require at least 70 percent of cars to be EVs in 10 years).
