Just had this friendly interaction on my X account in which I explain in just 280 short characters why the British Tories are about to be tossed out of office in unprecedented fashion by UK voters: Prove me wrong. That is all.
The non farm is essentially the US industry, so not all oil and gas; but most of our dollar value is from oil and gas - upstream, midstream, downstream, petrochemicals. Fracing is the technique used but also its improvements over the last few years speak to the innovative engineering and continuous learning by upstream operators.
The Brits are pedantic and slow to adopt positive change and are trying to limit North Sea production and have all but eliminated any land based activity. It’s nearly comical the reversal in Norway from anti oil and gas rhetoric and de-investment to today with a promoting new drilling - guess they like those payments and mailbox money!!
So you are not wrong and I don’t expect any discussion to prove you wrong, just the emotional banter about saving the planet. I like the Darwin approach of survival of the fittest.
They can’t prove you wrong. But they will cry foul and use misleading information to fool many of the apathetic people they get to listen to.
