Austin is absolutely full of idiots. They totally believe if you wish for something it will happen!!!!’ Well, their fairy godmother has signed off. Can’t blame her🥴And I have lived here for 40 years and it has taken a huge nose dive which began when the city started paying council members. And they are worthless. Instead of common sense solutions to real issues they go off on issues that do not improve life in Austin and instead make it worse.

Here since 1975 and I agree.

Geeze, when I worked for a state agency I did a more thorough job of shopping/investigating before spending $250. How do they squander $250M without due diligence?

Of course, we've already wasted over $1B on a wood burning plant in Nacogdoches which has never delivered a single KWHr of electricity to Austin...

How much more before we've wasted more than participating in the STNP expansion back in 2009 would have cost?

Maybe they could power each of them with an SMR on a trailer.

Yes, they could spend another $250 million on it and call it innovation!

Couldn’t happen to a better place full of wokeness and daily function blithering idiots. Oh they were told the problems with tte ev bus decision but chose to not listen to any of the discussion and arguments opposing doing the nasty ev bus program. The real problem is there’s no accountability for these one sided decisions. It begs the question not what were they thinking but how much palm was crossed??!! This was so easy to see coming . . . If you’re not leftist libtarded.

One big problem Austin has is that often these spending sprees are on the ballot as an initiative.

That's not the problem.

Here's the problem.

Then a majority of the Austin voters vote in favor of the idiot initiatives....

That's the problem.

Clowns to the left of me. Nope, just to the left, clowns and jokers...

The new transportation secretary needs to do a full review of this debacle, criminal charges against the guilty parties who pushed this fraudulence on our cities.

Mr. Blackmon,

Yeah, but it was "other people's money" so no problem.

There's an endless supply of that stuff for the do-gooders to burn.
