All those trillions of estimated transition cost always seem to be suspiciously quiet on the time frame. It's not a one time cost. With wind, solar and batteries wearing out in a 7 - 20 year time frame, one is constantly paying the cost over and over again.
Of course, under today's financial structures, (some)one is constantly reaping the subsidy benefits over and over again...
