In the rush to feather his ego and appease the MAGA base, DJT whiffed on the chance of a lifetime to finish off once and for all the Iranian delusional theocracy. Another week or two of pressing home our huge advantages in firepower would have inevitably led to the outright collapse of the regime, and total exit from the world stage onto the ash of history. Like not finishing off the Germans in 1918 led to having to fight the war all over again 20 years later, I suspect this may come back to haunt us. The Mullahs and their supporters are fanatics united above all by hate for Israel, are we now going to witness them sitting across the table from their visceral enemy expecting them to abide by what they agree to?
