So if it’s not penciled out for private industry to be profitable why would the federal government do it? If 80% of charging is done at home are there then a plethora of bev and plug in ev’s at apartment complexes? Where housing is purportedly less expensive than single family homes? And given the huge cost to purchase an ev - thus makes sense? Well let me be the latest of several million to call him an abject idiot.

I believe that the queer meant that they aren't giving the private sector any of the billions of dollars we had been boondoggled out of to millions of small businesses that we assumed was the purpose for creating jobs and stuff.

Chargers/EV catching fire in a single family home is bad. The same catching fire in an apartment complex is horrific. Private sector doesn’t want that risk exposure and rightfully so. The public shouldn’t take that on either.

Is he saying that the $8B mostly hasn't been spent yet? That would be okay. Stop spending all the money allocated to/by the IRA, until Trump gets into office, then don't spend any of it, at all...
