A couple of weeks back, I published a piece reminding everyone that the real goal of the climate alarm movement related to cars is not to force you all into an electric vehicle, but ultimately to force you to quit driving entirely. In response, I received a raft of emails and nasty comments on X and LinkedIn calling me a “conspiracy theorist” for having the temerity to point out what is simply an unarguable fact of life.
Defining climate change as "an emergency" gives politicians wide latitude for extreme action. Back in the 1970s when there were gasoline shortages, you could only get gas on odd or even days depending on your license plate.
The difference between “conspiracy theory” (let’s not forget to note that is a term dreamt up by the CIA over the holes in the official JFK assassination “explanation” ) to reality is about three months but that window is closing fast.
Ironic that the German govt still acts authoritarian - just watch what happens when you publicly come out for the AfD - despite denying they still act like Nazis. Look what they’re pulling on Substack writer Eugyppius. “We’re not like Nazis; just take our word for it.”
Fascism is still fascism even if not specifically named as such.
It’s time to take off the gloves and start hitting these clowns hard between the eyes - with the EV attempt takeover failing and the wind and solar industries just sucking up cash and not delivering as promised, the biden administration minions are spewing out rules to be enforced as laws that Congress has not made or voted on!!! And our representatives and senators better grow backbones and a set of balls damn quick! The entire mandate of the WEF and subordinate cohorts is to decide what we do daily if not hourly. This has gone on too long and when they keep taking freedom because we let them then our economy will collapse. We will only have government, no industry, no retail. And you think they aren’t still moving to wipe out the dollar? When they push the button on digital money all bets are off - you will be controlled by the whims of the government. And I don’t look up to any of them.
David, I am stunned reading this article. Germans lost their mind from almost all energy aspects. They still don't grasp the essence of missing 150 TWh nuclear generation per year they successfully annulled. What will be the next? Am I allowed to breathe? This is analogous to the war on gas stoves, water heaters, and furnaces in the left wing cities in the US. Forcing you into using electric stoves isn't the end goal. What the bad guys really want is the capability to shut off your ability to cook, keep warm - and drive. That'll teach you a lesson the next time you want to speak out against the green lords. They're also trying to crash the electric grid. Never let a good crisis go to waste. What crisis could possibly be better than a crashed electric grid?

I heard you discussing with Greg Budell whether Germans will put up with this. You and Newt Gingrich agree that Germans are sheep. In a speech I attended many years ago, Newt said the difference between Germans and Americans is they follow rules without question while we consider them merely suggestions. He used speed limits as a prime example. It got the biggest reaction of the presentation.
That is a giant hissy fit. Let's see how quickly he retracts his threat. You would think that the eurocrats might have learned a thing or two from the tractor riots in Netherlands and Germany about imposing draconian measures which have a disproportionate effect on people's livelihoods. It will be interesting to see how well the Germany police manage to block all of their roads. Just don't call an ambulance at the weekend, folks.

If we don't get better leadership, the whole of the US is only two or three yrs. away from having the same climate garbage happen to us.
