This isn't nuclear science. Every problem described here could have been anticipated if someone had put pencil to paper and applied good engineering fundamentals.
Politicians never pay a price for their blunders, even the ones that are easily foreseen. Whatever happened to "reinventing policing"? Crime has climbed (even though they rig the statistics to show it hasn't). Closing schools for covid? It was preordained, children, especially ones who have no choice but public schools, would fall behind, and they did. They'll never recover.
